    Windows 7 Backup Error 0x8078012D

Recently I tried to back up my windows system image file in to external hard drive but seem to have an error to fails in complete as error code is 0x8078012D, the error suggests less disk space. Though it worked properly in last time in many purpose. I have already run the checking tool on the external drive, but not found any problem there. I just confused, what should I do?

I had just experienced in this type of problem, In my system found that the services related to windows back up has been disabled. So, if you are also having exactly this problem then you may restart the service by the following the procedure that I am mentioning bellow it will really works:
Step:click on window start button then type "services" in search space in start menu. A service window/list will appear search there for 'volume shadow copy'. Go to properties by right click the service and select start up type to manual. Now repeat the above same for the windows back up service.

By windows updating you may overcome from the issue that you have mentioned above. But before that register some "dll" files, by these steps:
Click 'Start' and then 'Run', type "Regsvr32 wuapi.dll" in the Open box and click OK. Similarly one by one register the files listed below:

    Regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
    Regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
    Regsvr32 wucltui.dll
    Regsvr32 wups.dll
    Regsvr32 wuweb.dll
    Regsvr32 jscript.dll
    Regsvr32 atl.dll

Now try update from window update site.....

I also had that type of problem in my system then I had backup manually by disconnecting all connections that could interfere with the backup. Disconnect all the usb's and then update that. You can also try this one if you having this type of problem, it really works if it is same.

Make sure that there is no application running in the background while you back up your system.
