Are you running with a Dell or only the OEM soundcard? If so then which one model system you owned currently? Have you looked into the settings of the BIOS to make it disable onboard sound if the motherboard inserted onto this?

launch the hardware troubleshooter from the Action Center.

Creative does not present the specified SB0467 as being compatible with the Windows 7. You may require to go for the Vista x64 (windows XP) drivers within the compatibility mode-although there was not too success when Beta and RC stage of Windows 7 with that way .

At last, but not replied you need, you need to work with the onboard sound until you are able to get a Windows 7 supported with sound card.

My Dell Precision 490 had the same problem.

This is my solution regarding this, just go through the procedure suggested as follows :

    1) Download the Vista driver from the Dell's official site for your computer system..

    2) Extract the downloaded contents from the site stored on local system.

    3) Configure the Setup.exe via Properties to Vista Compatibility mode

    4) Launch the setup

    5) Now, restart the computer system

Before one month .. I had decided to go for a trial onto the Windows 7 system . I finished the installation in the dual boot mode on another SATA drive plugged with the Asus P6T Deluxe and SounBlaster X-Fi Extreme Music (SB0460) sound card.

This is bad luck ,the system is not detecting this hardware entirely , so in Device Manager I am not getting anything . Associating A New one Hardware are not seems helpful for me since Windows 7 didn't detected my sound card.

Commonly ,working with the Windows XP Pro SP3 , the same hardware configuration goes fine without any issues. I have reinstalled the program and currently I am very frustrated to even consider that the windows 7 option. Any suggestion where the issue can be occurred .

one of my friend also running with the the same problem. We terminated up searching an incompatible BETA driver facilitated by the third party, not Creative. Although I go the news from different sources that some of the Windows 7 drivers are on the way when concerning windows 7. The system that we had was reporting a device in the absence of the drivers, referencing this a "Multimedia Audio Processor" After performing the installation of the BETA driver, it goes very well without any issues . I would perform a search for the specified model number and then after try to find the same . It will either perform the installation or it would not do. So trial and error may be required .

I am running with a attached Sound Blaster X-Fi onto the Dell XPS 710 into my system . I have performed the installation of Windows 7 64-bit. All of things are going so fine there without any further issues . I have downloaded this properly and done the installation of latest releases of the drivers from Creative for this particular sound card and Windows 7/64. It accomplish the installation properly but I received a staticy echo sound to everything. Do you have any fix?

I claim that there is no such type of responsibility if you mess it up but you are able to work with this as the temporary work around until this has been fixed by creative labs without cleaning out memory physically.

1- Primarily, you have to run the MSCONFIG
    2- Choose the boot tab
    3- Choose advanced options
4- Within the max memory, choose 3990 (or any value within 4 GB is well IE anything less than 1024 * 4)
