    Sound Blaster X-Fi and Windows 7 64-bit

My sound card Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro does not work. I assume that I had already downloaded the codecs Windows 7. But I am not sure about the same and worry about my sound issue. I am using a Dell XPS 710 system with me. After upgrading to Windows 7 674 bit all things works fine but there is some issue with the sound. Is there a fix for the same.

I think there might be some conflict with the onboard sound card on your motherboard. I have no external sound card and I depend on the onboard sound drive for the same. I think there might be not driver for the Windows 7 64 bit system. From the BIOS look if you do not see an option that corresponds to the activation / deactivation of the integrated sound card then there might be difficulty in that.

I also have an X-Fi Fatal1ty Gamer Edition and I cannot install the driver. I run the executable driver recovered from the official website. I had found the latest driver compatible Windows 7 64 bit and when the driver installation the system entirely crash. I am too trying to install the sound driver on a Windows 7 64 system. After reboot press the reset button just as happened under Windows PC crashes completely again. You might need to restore the operating system.

I had purchased a kit of Logitech Z-5500 Digital THX 5.1 sound system. I had connect the same on my Windows Vista which is 64 bit system. I am using Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio with the most recent drivers. I had set my speakers for the same and connected them directly with the 6 channel direct.

I have the same problem with a card x-fi surround 5.1 under Windows 7 64 bit. Before under vista, there was no problem and there was a stereo sound issue on the system. I think the problem comes from the creative software, connecting the card. Once connect Windows 7 immediately installs the drivers and there is no need to install the software. I am trying to correct the problem but nothing helped here.

With the software Creative XFi goes in the CMS-panel 3D and active RF-3D surround mix mode you cannot get better support. Same for my X-fi. I had spend hours to fix the same. Basically, if you want surround sound from Creative then you might need to check the corresponding settings. I have the same problem that you are facing. Search for the appropriate drivers for the same.

The best thing I will suggest you to update drivers for the same. Before under vista, there was no problem, a stereo sound. I had faced this same issue and worked a long on this for troubleshooting. I think the problem comes from the creative software, connecting the card, Windows seven immediately installs the drivers and there is no need to install the software for the same.
