which version MS .Net framework??

I am trying to find out which version of MS .NET Framework I need to download and install for Win 7 64bit OS. Apparently what I have was corrupted, uninstalled it (or tried to), and now don't know which version to install, or where to download it from.

First I uninstalled multiple versions of .net framework. Now I downloaded the full package of 3.5 then rebooted but still don't see it listed.
Any ideas?

You can try to use the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to clean up the MSI database state for all the versions of the .NET Framework. Download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from here. Install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility as an administrator or as a user account that is a member of the local Administrators group. Click Start , point to All Programs , and then click Windows Install Cleanup. In the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, remove all Windows Installer applications for the .NET Framework.
