Virtual PC/XP Mode is asking me for my name & password

I had not created any password inthe virtual machine setup which is askin for a user login. I am not sure about changing this as I am new in this. I need some more information on XP mode which is used in Windows 7. I hard done the setup by reading a manual and now I stucked on the user page. I will re-install that. I am just testing virtualization on my screen.

As first if you need user account login then you can try Adminstrator and password as 12345. If that works then you can enter control panel and change the old password or create a new account for your self. Windows 7 first introduced into the system a layer of virtualization to run legacy applications incompatible under the new Windows. Called XP mode, this feature is reserved for only certain machines, those with the processor supports hardware virtualization.

It is the normal login account which you needed. If you don't know the password then just re-install the same. XP mode is an optional layer of Windows 7 Editions of Professional and Ultimate. It can be freely downloaded from Microsoft's site if you have one of these editions. The XP mode integrates a full version of Windows XP (and its license) specially configured for virtualization in Windows 7.

Try this out, when you are installing Windows XP mode then it generates a user account which is called as XPMUser. Then you can login in that account which does have password. Delete this account if you don't want and create a new one. This is the best way to fix a password protect account and you can simply login in XP. Just ensure that your system lies stable while working on XP.

Since the vast majority of applications have been modified, Windows 7 based on the same kernel as Vista is faced with the same difficulties facing applications are very old and not updated. To resolve the problem, particularly where critical company information system always tends to keep some old active development, Microsoft has introduced the XP mode. It is not so hard to configure.

The XP mode is not available on all machines. So first there must be at least 2GB of RAM to run. And on the same hand the processor must support Hardware Virtualization technology. You might heard about VT Intel and AMD-V. Even if a processor supports this technology, it is necessary that the BIOS supports it. There is really only one simple way to know if a machine supports virtualization or not is to use a detection tool.

The account is generated automatically without a password. You does need to provide any account for that. If that ask for login then this means that someone has created account and password in your system. Before performing this check that our processor is 64 bit compatible and it is compatible with the DEP security. The other thing you might need to check that is your processor is compatible with hardware virtualization.
