How to enable direct3D in windows7

I am using Windows 7. I have a onboard GPU support. It is no so good but more than enough to run my games and programs. When I want to play Age of Empires 3 or its expension and Empire Earth 2, it shows me error messages like what I have to check with my Direct3D Acceleration is enabled. The problem is that I do not know at all how I enable Direct3D acceleration.

For that open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool which is you can run by typing dxdiag in the search box. Go under the display tab and then see properly there that Direct3D Acceleration are selected. You can see that it is shown whether this service is enabled or not. You can also download the same from Microsoft site and run the setup which will fix the matter.

Windows system has a generic video driver which it uses for initiating games and other graphic applications. For that you must first install the latest video driver which you can find on the official sit of the manufacturer. To test DirectDraw functionality click the button Test DirectDraw from the Direct X setup utility. Download the newest version for just run Windows update to fix this matter automatically.

After weeks of searching, I just find for me the solution to this problem of deactivation direct3d. We can no longer turn to use dxdiag, even reinstalling the drivers for the graphics card and DirectX. I sometimes use NetSupport which looks like issue behind this. For that run registry editor and then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ GraphicsDrivers \ INN. From here set the value t=256.

The problem is quiet common in most of the systems. For fixing this click on start > run and then type dxdiag. Hit ok and then you can see a direct x setup utility. Go to the View tab and then you can activate here three options. They are locateded DirectX and those three options are DirectDraw Acceleration, Acceleration Diect3D, and Texture Acceleration. Once done then you must restart your pc to check back.

I need to enable Direct3D to play some games which I had installed recently in my system. Yet I have installed DirectX9c but could not found much better support here. When I type in DirectDraw in the run box and under the View tab there is lots of thing not shown. Like if I look for DirectDraw Acceleration then it shows status Not Available. The same is shown for DirectX Acceleration and Texture Acceleration.

It is better if you can manually download the same from Microsoft site and run the setup. Doing that will fix the issue. Remember that Direct 3D 11 incorporates support for new features including textures support. This will allow programs to use the graphics chip GPU as a coprocessor to accelerate certain treatments. The new version of DirectX is backward compatible with DirectX 10.

I think that it is possible that you don't have to proper drivers for your display card installed, you should try completely uninstalling your graphics card drives, and running the system on a standard VGA driver, and then from there, re-install the version 175.19 drivers that you downloaded.
