What is wrong with Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor?

I have downloaded and installed a windows upgrade Advisory program to check whether my Windows is working fine or not. But while i run the program i got this:
    Code:
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor was unable to reach the Microsoft server for compatibility information. Check you internet connection or see if there's a new version of Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor available.
I am having good internet connectivity with the Firewall Off but still getting the same error. So if any one is having suggestion regarding the same then please let me know. Thanks in advance.

As per your problem it seems that the problem you are getting is with the blocking of the internet connectivity of the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisory. But your as your Firewall is Off then it can be possible that your Antivirus might blocking the connection for the same. If possible then disable the Antivirus and then try to upgrade.

I think while you are performing the Windows 7 upgrade advisory operation at that time it might be possible that the Server of the Microsoft is not responding and you are getting the issue for the same.Did you tried doing that again? If not then try it again might be you can get the connectivity. Hope this will help you to resolve your issue.

Firewall is off and you are still getting the error then there might be some other reason for the error. Just make a clean boot and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisory and see whether you are getting the error or not. Follow this for Clean Boot.

    • Click on start
    • Click on Run
    • Type "msconfig" and press enter
    • Go to Service Tab
    • Select Hide all Microsoft services
    • Click Disable all
    • Now go to Startup Tab
    • Click Disable All
    • Click on Apply and OK
    • Click on Restart

Now give a try to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisory.

If you are still unable to get it work with all the above replies then i will advise you to troubleshoot the network. Just run the Network Troubleshooter and see what response you are getting. If you got any then please let me know too so that i can refer the same to others also. So run then Network Troubleshooter and see what you are getting.

I have gone through all the replies and let me tell you that nothing is working for me. I have disabled the Firewall, Antivirus. I have run the Network Troubleshooter which does not gives any error. Perform the Clean boot of the system but nothing help me out to resolve the issue of mine. I hope still something is there to work on.

In that case this is the problem with the Server only which is not responding to your request. If the Server of the Microsoft is not responding then also you can get this kind of error. So if possible then report Microsoft about this problem and see whether you are getting any solution for the same or not. Thats all i can help you.
