    No Tray-Icons after reboot

    Hi,

since a couple of days ago, my computer shows only 2 or 3 (instead of about 10) tray-icons on the right site of the taskbar (NOT the icons of the quick-launch!), when rebooted.

But nevertheless all automaticly started programs (e.g. volume/speaker-settings, logi-keyboard-settings, auto-hotkey, antivirus, reminder-icons and so on) are normally started and they all are running as usual.

When I log off and logon on again, all tray-icons are shown as in former times. After next reboot most of the icons are missing again.

    I am running XP-prof, SP3.

Any idea, what can have happened???

No exact idea, mate.. But most probably it appears that its cause of any virus. Which Antivirus program are you using? Make sure it is updated and do a complete scan of your system. Also try to restore your system to any previous restore point. Do reply the results.

    Hi,

No, this is not a question of a Virus - it must be a bug in windows.

    The workaround of the following

hints (disabling UPnP and SSDP-discovery services) solved my problem!

And in addition the booting up time of my computer reduced for about half a minute!
