Mac OS X remove startup sound

    Hello,
I use an iMac and the operating system is really very nice. But I have only one issue regarding the operating system, the startup sound. Has any one changed the startup sound of the mac os x? When i turn off the start up sound the operating system freezes at the start up screen. If you have done it, then please let me know. Thank you.

How does the screen freezes or crashes at startup the mac? And so, imagine the almost impossible, it happens, would be so bad to hear the sound once, then there would be a more troublesome problem to solve. So, I think you should go with the default startup sound, it is not that bad.

I have another simple solution to offer you. You branch of speakers on the Mac, not self-powered. You rules your system preferences for sound only come out on them. You do not feed before starting. Even after a crash, no startup sound should disturb. I guess one of these helps you.

One thing not to lose sight. The Mac's startup sound is a sign of good health. It means that the Mac has made its self-check and everything is fine. If this was not the case, would emit a series of beeps. So why not use it? Personally, I lower the sound at night, if you need you can do the same.

The startup sound is something that exists on Apple machines since inception in 1977 with the Apple II. That unmistakable sound (sound picked up by the creator of the movie Wall-E for the little robot elsewhere). Moreover, this "chime" describes the successful completion of testing with the ignition (so if you get a different sound, especially within the grounds of style.

Well as you checking it at the same time as your wife and your baby are healthy too! That said, you ought to be had down the sound of the Mac when you bump or you play at night! You can also put you headphones on ears ... because the "Ready to work" or "My Lord and my Gods" of Warcraft, this has got to blow them up too, no? Good and then, why not find out why your Mac freezes and you are obliged to force the extinction! Deadlocks on WarCraft forcing off the Mac, it seems odd! my son plays for hours every day to Warcraft (Frozen Throne ouReign of Chaos), I do not remember seeing him have to force the termination of the Mac! On the video editing, ditto! your blocks are not very normal! and plus I imagine that when this happens, you lose hours of work, right?

I have never experienced a freeze during the assembly phase, or during a render. (Except in broadcast due to a drop-frame. But in this case, it is not a freeze, but a shutdown). The games, it takes the CPU as other EPO and it monopolizes the machine and the whole person, especially in full screen in the dark, when everyone is asleep, attention even when collateral damage. Otherwise, simply activate the mute button on the keyboard and leave the headset connected before rebooting.
