    Keynote Crashes...MacBook Spontaneously Restarts

I have MacBook Core Duo which is having installed the Leopard 10.5.5 and Keynote 4.0.3. But, when I try to open the Keynote presentation on my MacBook it simply reboot the system. I have tried to find out the solution for this, but not get any solution till yet. If you are having any solution from which I will able to solve this problem, then please provide me that.

You must need to remove the iWork from your MacBook and then you can simply search for the solution. It will simply fix your problem and then you will able to use the Keynote presentation without any problem and your MacBook would not simply restart as it is restarting currently. So, Just do the removal of the iWork and then you have to reinstall that and solve your problem.

I think you are not facing any problem due to the Keynote. But, the problem is happening due to the problem of your Ram. You have to simply make use of the new Ram and then you can try to check whether you are getting the same problem or not? It will then solve your problem for the restart of your MacBook and you will able to fix the problem which you are having. Just make use of that and get the solution for the restart.

It may be possible that you are facing the issue due to the problem in your Keynote. So, just remove the Keynote completely from your Macbook and after that you will able to fix your problem. I think you are facing this issue due to the corruption of the some of the files from your computer and then you can simply solve your problem for crashing of the Keynote. As if you solve your problem of the Crashing you will get fixed the problem of your MacBook restart without any problem.

I had this problem for some time. Very very annoying. What I found somewhere, however, is that there is a workaround. Do not play the presentation right after registering. Save it and wait a few minutes before you start playing. Seems to work for me. I would also suggest you to perform the same and then I think you would also able to fix your problem. So, just make use of that and you will solve your restart issue.

    Re: Keynote Crashes...MacBook Spontaneously Restarts

I feel bad for all those in trouble, but I've been using Keynote almost constantly since version 1.0 and I never, never had that crash the entire computer, or accident during a presentation. And I do not see using an unusually high amount of RAM, either. But from basic troubleshooting may help, such as repairing permissions and verifying / repairing the startup disk. Also, check your fonts as corrupt police could have unpredictable results.
