181.20 Driver Causes Black Screen On Boot Up

Hello to everyone. I have recently updated my NVIDIA Drivers to the 181.20 driver which is causing black screen on boot up. I have tried to find the solution for my problem. But, I am not able to do that. If you are having any solution for that then please give that to me. I have installed the driver from the safe mode and after that I have simply tried to start the computer in normal mode, but it gives me black screen. What is solution for this problem.

If you are having problem from the driver then you need to again make use of the safe mode. Just use the safe mode and then you can simply able to solve your problem by Uninstalling the 181.20 Drivers. So, just make use of that and then you will able to solve your problem. It is just required to remove that drivers and install your older drivers. You will able to start your computer in the regular mode.

Hi, 181.20 Driver Causes Black Screen On Boot Up, then remove that drivers and solve your problem. It is happening due to some of the missing or corrupt files for the drivers. So, simply remove the existing drivers and then you will able to fix your problem. It will simply solve the corrupt files problem and after that you can reinstall the drivers again, but from any other source. And then check again whether the issue of you get fixed or not.

Hey same problem here. I have followed the steps below and then got the black screen on Boot Up:

1. Removed the NVIDIA Drivers.
2. Installed the 181.20 Driver.
3. Restart the system.
4. Booting done normally and worked fine.
5. Resolution set to the 1920x1200.
6. Again restarted the system.
7. Windows Started as normal and then the screen turn black.

You are actually facing this problem due to the problem in your Screen Resolution. If you simply set your resolution to the value which is supported by the monitor then you will able to solve your problem. I think that you will able to fix your problem with the change in your screen resolution. So, just set that to the 800 X 600 for just checking that. It will simply fix you problem.

You need to make use of the new installation for the Driver and then again try to check whether you are facing the same problem or not. By making use of that you will able to get the solution for your problem. It will simply solve any missing file problem and then you will able to fix the problem which you are having for your Monitor.

Why don't you try to use any other monitor and then check out whether you are having the problem of the monitor or not? If you have problem of the monitor then you will not able to fix that by making any change to the system. You have to change that monitor and then only you will able to solve your problem. So, just do that and get the solution. It will solve your problem.
