    IntelligentShutdown is not able to function with Windows 7

    I am having a problem with a software that I was using without any issues with Windows Vista, that is the previous operating system that I was using. The situation is that IntelligentShutdown is not able to function with Windows 7. This is a software that is used to perform smart automatic shutdown of the computer. I am awaiting for suitable solutions for this problem.

    IntelligentShutdown is not able to function with Windows 7 because this software requires that the operating system must be Windows XP or Windows 7. So, Windows 7 is not supported by IntelligentShutdown. This is why the issue is being caused. You will have to search for the alternatives that can be used in the place of this software and this is the best solution to get rid of the issue.

    Start the application in the compatibility mode

    If IntelligentShutdown is not able to function with Windows 7, then do not worry because you can start the application in the compatibility mode. The option of troubleshoot compatibility has to be used for this purpose. There you will have to mention the problems that you are finding when the application is started in the system. You can also use the recommended settings that are provided there.

    Since, IntelligentShutdown is not able to function with Windows 7, I have found the alternatives for IntelligentShutdown from the internet, as given below:
    • AgataSoft Shutdown 1.2.1.5
    • Shutdown Scheduler 1.0
    • Free Shutdown Timer 1.0
    • DShutdown 1.67
    • Shutdown Command 1.1
    • OAK Shutdowner 4.5b
    • Window Shutdown 1.0

    They have similar features as IntelligentShutdown and they may probably work fine with the Windows 7 operating system.

    Force the application to start

    You will have to force the application to start, if IntelligentShutdown is not able to function with Windows 7. The run as administrator option will help you in this situation. This is an option that is available when you right-click on the icon of the particular application or program. Most of the incompatibility issues that are encountered with Windows 7 can be eradicated with its help.
