Desktop Shark is not able to work with Windows 7

Desktop Shark is a tool that I was using in my system before with Windows XP, inorder to monitor the activity on the computer. I am facing a problem after I have installed the Windows 7 operating system. The problem is that Desktop Shark is not able to work with Windows 7. I want to know if it is compatible with the Windows 7 operating system or not. Kindly provide some help soon.

Desktop Shark is not able to work with Windows 7 because it is supported only by the Windows XP operating system. It also has an additional requirement, that is .Net 2.0. So, the main cause of the issue is that the software is not compatible with the Windows 7 operating system. There is no need to worry, since there are many alternatives for the same in the market.

The issue that Desktop Shark is not able to work with Windows 7 will not occur, if you will be using the newest version of the software, with this particular operating system. Just remember that the version of the software must be after the Windows 7 operating system was released. I am quite sure that you can get the same because such types of tools are released for all those softwares and applications that are having problems like Desktop Shark is not able to work with Windows 7. I am a lead developer for Desktop Shark and I would love to clarify any confusion about the software... Its latest and current release of the software is windows compatible ie (7, XP, Vista, etc..). Assuming your version of Windows is running the .net 2.0 environment. Which almost every computer does run, otherwise about 90% of the software you try to install on any modern day system will not work. Beyond this... Windows 7 has increased their security measures by including special "administrative permissions" also know as UAC. You can turn this feature off, I for one have because it is EXTREMELY annoying for most users. Unless you install desktop shark by "right clicking run as administrator" then you'll probably have issues.... It's not a result of their software, more so that the software itself is in fact powerful and requests additional user permissions to run.. Keep in mind that you are trying to know everything that occurs on your home PC... In order to do so, you need to allow Desktop Shark permission to do its JOB... I hope this helps!

Even the newest version of Desktop Shark will not work on my system. I'm running Win7, .Net framework 2.0, and my system meets every requirement listed. I followed download and usage instructions to the letter. I tried the patches. Nothing works. The only results I managed to get from the program were that when I tried to click on 1 item, in a folder for instance, every single item above the item I wanted to click on would also be highlighted and selected on click. Also, if I had multiple windows open and only wanted to close 1 of them, all windows would close when I click on the red "X" of a single window. That was it. Nothing along the lines of what I actually wanted the program for. By the way, I also tried the same download and usage routine with all my anti-virus and firewall programs completely shut-down and disabled and I encountered the same results either way.

My friend was having the same issue with the software on Windows 7. What I found that the he has downloaded the software from torrent. So obviously that was a cracked version which was not working. Then later on he purchased the same from the official website and now it is working quiet well. All the new releases of Desktop Shark supports Windows 7. Go for a free trial for testing the same.

version 2.71 is working properly on win 7 and had no issues found using it until i had it updated to 2.81, it doest start up right and had to be stopped, one more thing is i don't it can capture screenshots like 2.71 does and i can assure u about 2.71 version for i've been using it for 6 months. my problem now is i cant find the 2.71 version nomore sucks!! is anyone here who have the 2.71 version?

Have you tried to running the Desktop Shark as compatible mode or admin privileges or something like that in Windows 7. I hope that you are already familiar with these things if you are a regular Windows 7. Furthermore check whether your software or tool is a 32 bit program or 64 bit program. This also could be a issue in Windows 7. At last make sure that your update was proper and hadn't got any interruption in between. if possible try to re-install and re-update once again.
