Need to disable the touchpad on Windows 7

Hello Friend,

I having one dell laptop and using windows 7 operating system over it. I am not using the touchpad of my laptop, instead of that I use USB mouse for the same. So I have to disable the touchpad of my laptop which runs the windows 7 OS. I don't have any idea about this procedure. If anyone know how to disable the touchpad on windows 7, then please let me know that. I would appreciate your any help.

If you have to disable the touchpad activity of your dell laptop over windows 7, for that you need to customize the properties of utility known as 'Dell touchpad'. For this you need to click over the 'touchpad picture' and then click over the 'Device select'. Here you will get the option to disable the touchpad. Please try this procedure and let me know if it works for you or not.

I don't think the touchpad properties of your laptop is depends upon the operating system that you are using. For your kind information touchpad properties doesn't come under Windows configuration setting. The setting required to disable the touchpad activity is differ as per the laptop manufacturer. I hope you get something idea about this.

It's very complicated task to disable the touchpad of laptop. for that you first need to goto the 'Device Manager' which is from the control panel. After this you need to select over 'Device Settings'. Then you will need to click over the 'Mouse Properties'. After this you need to select the Synaptics Touchpad option from there. And the click over the disable option.

Please following procedure to disable touchpad:

• First open control panel window and select Mouse properties icon.
• Then click over categorical view and click over properties.
• The select the 'Disable Touch Pad' option and click OK.
