Display Driver had failed

Ok. So i got the new sims3 game and started playing it last night. and all of a sudden every 5 seconds my screen would flash black and something would pop up saying my display driver igfx?? has failed and thn recovered. and if it continues to do that. my computer crashes.
What do i do to make it stop??

I have the exact same problem. It crashes after just 5 minutes and I have to restart the computer, and it just happens again! I am so disappointed because I was really looking forward to playing the Sims3 game but it just wont work! Can any one help us?

My suggestions would be first of all update your video card drivers. These errors are usually result of the incompatibilities of the required video card drivers. Also verify that the video card is properly plugged in its socket. I used to get random system crash when I loaded Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II as my newly purchased nVidia Geforce video card was not plugged in properly.
