You will need extract boot sector of your XP installation CD. You ave tow option to get, first either extract it from your CD yourself, or just download a boot sector which is already extracted by others. Now just create a temporary folder with name C:\XPSETUP for the integration to take place.

First Copy the XP Setup Disk into C:\XPSETUP , Open a Command prompt and run this C:\XPSP3 /integrate:C:\XPSETUP command. he process will take some time to complete, Create and Burn Your New XP with Service Pack 3 CD.

You can't just burn it directly after the integration, After the successful integration, the installation source would now become at around 634MB. You can burn the F:\CD folder as a boot-able Windows XP installation CD. start the Nero burning rom application and select CD-ROM (Boot) and burn it.

Why integrate updates to install CD?

Convenient to have on hand a full installation CD, update you avoid making the (long) updated in response to a Relocation (formatting) For example.

This CD can also help you make the Repair XP (with or without recovery console) without worrying about the Service Pack version, avoiding the many manipulations under repair. If you had to do a repair of your system with another version of Service Pack (SP or not), you'll be forced to redo the updates via Windows Update.

You may also be useful for repair of system files with the command SFC/scannow And the files installed on the system and those of the CD will (in principle except Later Update) the same version, identical. It is better to be proactive.

    Use the nLite for it:

    • Insert your Installation CD XP in the CD-Rom. Then run nLite and choose language.
    • Select the CD containing your original CD (source),
    • Then create a folder (name of your choice) which contain copies of files on the installation CD (target).
    • This is necessary to enable nLite increment of the various files that it will be a working folder.
    • nLite begins to copy files from CD-ROM in the new folder you just created.
    • Once the copy was made, nLite will ask you to re-select the installation folder (in the example folder called XP_Pro_SP3) To prepare the integration of updates.
    • The main menu nLite, Then offers you several choices: Select Integrate Service Pack, And Create Bootable ISO (CD image to burn).
    • It'll just select the path where is the SP3 (downloaded)On your hard drive.
    • Integrating Service Pack begins nLite increments the SP files to the target folder, You only have to create the ISO image to burn your CD with your burning software burn mode.
    • You now have a CD to date, a version compatible with system files on your machine. Loans to repair, if catastrophe.
    • Note that nLite allows you to integrate other updates, customize your installation CD to your liking.
