    Install Monodevelop on windows

    Hello,
How can I install monodevelop on Windows (XP)? Is there a tutorial that explains how to proceed? Big thank you in advance for any indication
Those who have experience of using MonoDevelop or mono in general give their opinion here, if they want it so that everyone can get their opinion. I have found this from a book and I want you guys to see this and reply that it can be helpful or not?
Mono is a project that allows you to run applications created. NET on all operating systems (or at least the main such as WINDOWS, LINUX, MAC OS, UNIX)

The project does not (to my knowledge the WinForms) and must use GTK #, a wrapper for GTK +

MonoDevelop is an IDE that allows you to program in Mono (# Develop but also allows the designer without GUI).

    Hello
There is a port of Mono for windows but also want to say that it is a better ideas to Recompile everything. They have not provided installer. After you have installed, let me know if ever it works. Hope you install the software successfully and if you have any problem do post back with your query.

    Hi
I do not want to have to compile my programs myself. I know that Linux is very common - we note in passing that Linux can not yet compete with the dominant pay Windows and Mac - but I it does not suits me. So I decided at that time that until there was no installer, there would be no MonoDevelop on my computer either.

On the day of today porting on windows is not. There are plans to clear it but for now it does not.

Big mistake. The project supports the winforms and that in their version 1.1 (complete) or 2.0 (being finalized). A winform app "basic" work without problem under Mono. For example I worked on this application ( Procrustean ) And that works fine on Linux / Mac without recompilation.
MonoDevelop is an IDE that lets you program in MONO
No! MonoDevelop is an IDE that lets you program in C #, Boo, VB.NET, C + +! Be careful not to confuse the languages and runtimes!
Personally I am user monodevelop long enough and saw EDI "live". It is now a comprehensive project to all of a modern IDE. It is clear that VS 2008 always one step ahead but Monodevelp is by far the most advanced IDE on Linux. As the Debugger is completed it will be perfect.

Executing Bat compilation is not the sea to drink.

less, only a purist stand still and always .deb And I do not think there have a relationship of cause and effect between the dominance of Windows and Mac

All depends on what you do in your life. I'll put the challenges of coding a GTK # (remember that is fully mobile on 3 systems and without any modification or even recompilation) with VS.

But good as I am the dev to me or people I know and basically that Linux and Mac are not represented in these people mind, this is not serious. Perhaps my future company will ask me of the Use of MonoDevelop, and I'm glad to use it, but in this case it is pre-installed on my machine.
