What is not included in Windows Vista Starter

I got Windows vista Starter edition in my laptop. I am not thinking for upgrade but on the other hand I want to know what are the limitations of this software. What does it not includes which is available in the higher versions. I just need some basic tools in that that Vista possess. The standard version that comes installed on computers sold in retail stores, we believe it is very important that everyone knows what are the main limitations of this version of Windows Vista.

The detail about this is it can only recognize up to 1 GB of RAM. You can even install more memory in your PC, but Windows Vista does not recognize the additional memory (Microsoft had announced that the Starter only recognize up to 512 MB. It's the only version of Vista that has no 64-bit version, as the main difference 64-bit version is able to recognize more than 4 GB of RAM, this action has no meaning, because this version of Windows Vista is limited to 512 MB. Only recognized hard drives up to 160GB. You can install a larger hard drive in your computer, but the Vista partition it only going to get (ie recognize) as a 160GB hard drive, Microsoft had announced that the Starter only recognize drives up to 120GB, but this has also changed.

From the Windows Vista Starter you can only open up to three programs at once. It has the SuperFetch, a new memory management system that optimizes your RAM in accordance with more programs executed. While recognizing hybrid hard disks (ie disks with flash memory to be used as disk cache)-ReadyDrive technology known as Vista Starter has no recourse ReadyBoost, which allows any memory like pen drives and flash cards memory can be used as disk cache to increase computer performance.

It has no automatic disk defragmenter. No differentiation has order levels of E / S (input / output). Too many different versions of Vista ordered I / S in low priority, high priority and important to optimize the computer and ensure better system response. It does not have the User Account Control, which is a resource that requests user confirmation to execute administrative programs in order to prevent certain viruses (so-called Trojans) acting on the user's computer.

Windows Vista Starter supports the new video driver model for Windows Vista (WDDM, Windows Display Driver Model). No place has the appeal of Marks (keywords) files, to facilitate the search for documents. Does not support controls on Xbox 360. It comes with central synchronization, which facilitates the synchronization of files located on PDAs and similar devices. Does not come with the backup center. It comes with central distribution system or with the option of network diagnostic and support various improvements in the networks brought by Windows Vista.

Re: What is not included in Windows Vista Starter

Windows Vista Starter has no new ways of saving energy brought by Windows Vista. HotStart does not support, resource where you can configure a button on the cabinet as a shortcut to a particular program. It comes with the, net Framework 3.0. It allows the creation of documents XPS (XML Paper Specification), which is a new document format that saves the layout of the document as it would be printed, created by Microsoft to compete with PDF. Does not come with the new Windows Aero graphical interface (note that the Vista Home Basic does not have this resource). Honestly, Vista Starter serves only to tell you that you have Windows Vista on your machine then, in practice, is a system that does not work for those who think about doing an upgrade of the machine in the coming months, or who use more three programs at once.
