Bulk load of fonts slows down windows 7

Hi. I have a desktop machine that is been installed with Windows 7 as the operating system. The problem am facing is related to the performance of my system. I have installed many new fonts in the system and due to this I am finding it very difficult to work with the system. It means that my system has been slowed down due to bulk load of fonts. Please help me. What should I do?

Well you say that bulk load of fonts have decreased the speed of your system. But I do not think so. Installing any number of fonts do not affect the performance of your system. It may some other issue. Did your system use to work well before you have had install the fonts. Generally the system might have been processing slow due to bulk load of programs or less space in on your hard disk to read/write access.

This case is indeed related to the application programs installed in the system. Windows 7 is a very sophisticated and bulky operating system which has many new inbuilt features. the operating system supports well t the system that has good capability of handling the operating system that is it should have a good configuration setup. It may be that your system may not be compatible to the operating system. Hence you are not able to access the system at a faster rate. Check out the compatibility of the operating system with the machine.

You need to perform a clean boot process in order to make the things work for you well. This shall help your system to perform well according to the requirement.

* Go to the start menu and click on run.
* Type msconfig and hit enter.
* Go to the general tab and click on selective startup.
* Uncheck all the Microsoft's services ans make the changes save.
* Click ok

Restart the system. This shall help you out.

This can be checked or made in to correction by increasing the virtual memory of the system. This will surely make the things to go good. Follow these steps:

1) Go to the My computer and right click on it.
2) After that click on properties.
3) Select the advanced system settings and allow the access if admin login is been asked.
4) Click settings under performance tab of Advance.
5) Click the advance and then under virtual memory click change.
6) Uncheck the automatically manage paging file size.
7) Now under drive section click the drive name that you want to change the paging file size.
8) Click on custom size and then assign the size limit in MB's and then click OK.

This will increase the virtual memory and shall help your system to respond faster.

Work under windows xp or some other operating system. If the above solutions do not work for you then you need to check out that whether the operating system is the concern. It is quite very next to impossible that fonts may slow up the process.
