    Bios issues under windows 7

    Hello. This is a problem that am facing currently working under windows 7. I am not able to update the BIOS version for my system. This is is a serious issue. I want to update the bios in order to make my system compatible with the operating system and it should not malfunction due to incompatibility. Please help.

    The problem that you are not able to upgrade the BIOS is may be due to the irrelevant issues associated with the update. The update file that you are trying to flash with the system may not be proper and may be the reason that it shows error or not able to update. You need to flash he BIOS and then embed the updated version the chip so that it functions accordingly. Check out for the update version.

    You can check out for the possibility by downloading PRG3110H.86A.0069.EB.EXE and run this under safe mode of the windows.This is possibly due to many of the features that do not function well under the open window application does work under safe mode. A safe mode is generally a default option that has basic features and can be used to work out many downgraded process. Check out.

    Running the program under safe mode can be done by following the steps as given below:

    1) Reboot your system.
    2) When the system restarts press the f8 key.
    3) You should keep pressing the key until he windows logo screen appears.
    4) This would then give a prompt window.
    5) Select using arrow keys the safe mode option from advanced boot option.

    This way your system would run under safe mode.

    You can update the BIOS by following these steps:

    1) Execute he advanced boot configuration menu for the update.
    2) Save the downloaded .BIO content to a temporary directory.
    3) Copy the .BIO to a usb or portable drive.
    4) Shut the system down.
    5) Now enable the F7 display prompt window.
    6) Now start the system on.
    7) Enter the BIOS setup now by pressing F2 while booting.
    8) Now enable the display F7 to update BIOS by advanced bot configuration menu.
    9) When the same thing appears to enter flash update tool.
    10) Select the USB drive and press enter.
    11) Select the .BIO file.
    12) Confirm the update by hitting enter.
    13) Remove the usb drive.

    You can also do the following hing as follows:

    1) Plug your usb device.
    2) Go to the start menu and then to all programs.
    3) Then to accessories
    4) On command prompt run as administrator.
    5) Find the drive number by locating as diskpart list disk.
    6) Copy the Bios update to the USB drive.
    7) Insert the Windows 7 disc and then try to use the boot device as mode.
    8) Select the boot sector mode and then close the command prompt window.
