    Hey,

I think you need to contact the HP which is the provider of your notebook with the vista Chinese version. They will help you out in better way. They have online recovery disk which is costly. All you have to do is to just make call to the hp and they will provide you full support. So better to go with option which is the official way to do the same. Say thanks if you like the idea.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Why don't you try to reinstall the complete operating system with the new one which contain the English version of the Vista in it. That will solve the problem of the language that you are facing with the previous version. That will change the complete language to the English one which will work according to you. And the functionality of the same you want use can be accessible with that .

    Thanks

The display language is the language that Windows uses in wizards, dialog boxes, menus, Help and Support topics, and other items in the user interface. Some display languages are installed by default, and others require you to install additional language files. When you change the display language, it is changed for your user account and is not changed on the Welcome screen. If you want to set the display language for multiple users or the Welcome screen, see Apply regional and language settings to reserved accounts.

1.Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
2.Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
3.Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

    Thanks

For Software support you have to call on to the 0906 470 0870 number and for the hardware support you have to call on to the 0844 369 0369 . Thats all i can help you about the problem your facing .
