    FATAL SYSTEM ERROR in Windows 7

    Hi, while installing windows 7 on my computer I am getting the following error message on blue screen.

    STOP: C000021a {Fatal System Error}
    The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000001 0x001003a8).
    The system has been shutdown.

    I had checked my Ram and found that they are working well on xp, that means it is not the problem of ram. Please help me.

    Hi, I am also getting the same problem as you. Whenever I try to upgrade my computer with Windows 7 installation cd it gives me error message as follows:

    STOP: C000021a {Fatal System Error}
    The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000001 0x001003a8).
    The system has been shutdown.

    I don't know the reason behind this. So please help me to overcome this problem. I am giving you my computers configuration:

    • Processor: AMD Turion 64 1.8GHz
    • RAM: 512 MB DDR-333 RAM
    • Sound: ATI High-Definition Audio Device
    • HDD: 160 Gb ATA
    • Optical: 24X DVD RW
    • Network1: Realtek 8169 Gigabit Ethernet

    Hi, I think there will be some error in your configuration of sytem and that's why you are getting the error message in blue screen. I think there will be problem in your memory size. As you told that the ram is working but it is of what size? I am giving you the requirement of the system for installing the windows 7. It is as follows:

    • 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
    • 1 GB of system memory
    • 16 GB of available disk space
    • Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory
    • DVD-R/W Drive
    • Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)

    Hi, you are getting the Fatal System Error message in blue screen that means your motherboard is not supporting the Windows 7. So, I think you need to either use the lower windows operating system or you need to use other motherboard. Check by changing your BIOS if it is providing you the facility to install the windows 7 on that board or not.
