Error Code 8004F807

Hi, I am using Windows 7 operating system since two to three months and not get any type of error. When I installed Build 7100 I activated it immediately. But, a week ago when I try to update it, I got the error as "Cannot update" code 8004F807. And in bottom right hand corner of my desktop, I have a new tag:

Windows 7
Evaluation copy. Build 7100
This copy of Windows is not genuine.

What does it mean? Can anyone has an idea about this? If yes please give me that.

Hi, you can query more detailed status information using slmgr /dlv from the command prompt. But, before that make sure that your are opened command prompt with the Administrator account. Or to Just to make sure you can run the following command from the command prompt: cscript slmgr.vbs /ato. This will help you to reactivate the Windows 7 from your machine. Just make use of it.

Hi, you are getting this error of Error Code 8004F807 this copy of Windows 7 is not genuine is due to the problem of the activation key. I think. You need to paste your activation key into the place of activation code. Please try to re-activate by pressing Win+Break, under “Windows activation”, you will find a place to activate product key. So, just paste your key into it and check whether the error was removed or not.

Hi, I think your are getting this error due to the trial of the OS. You are getting error code 8004F807, So, just do the following:

• Search for the cmd.exe. Right click on the exe and select Run As Administrator.
• Now type the command as "slmgr.vbs -ipk <insert your product key here>".

Over. You have done it. I don't think now you will get this error again.

Hi, similar error is got by me also. When I log in my windows I got the error as "This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine. Error Code 8004F807", though I have activated it properly. Then I move to the mocrosoft official site to download windows 7 again and I found that Its a bug. Then I just get a new product key and use it and it worked well. So, just get new Product key from microsoft site and solve your problem.
