    Finder problem : Error 10810

    Hello everyone,

I am using Snow Leopard from past long time, But from few days Finder freezes.
I have to then restart, and it gives me "Unable to open the application" Finder Error 10810. The only solution is to force a restart.

Can you help me solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance.

Start up Mac pc in Safe Mode, to resolve Error 10810 :

Restart the Mac while holding down the Shift key until the display start indicating that Mac OS 10 starts with extensions disabled. During this phase, the Mac will do minor repairs possible. Once the Mac is running, restart normally.

Note that if you start with the keys Apple (Command) and V pressed, the Mac will boot in Verbose mode, that is to say, by displaying on screen the different stages of startup, sometimes it can help locate a problem .
If starting up in Safe Mode does not solve the problem, proceed to next steps.

NOTE: Proceed after disconnecting all third-party device. Do not let the connected keyboard and Apple mouse. In some difficult cases it may even be necessary to remove third-party cards installed in the Mac.

Try to repair from the CD or DVD installation of Mac OS :
    1. Insert CD1 or DVD installation of Mac OS.
    2. Restart your Mac holding down the C key until you get the startup screen
    3. At the opening of the dialog, do not start the installation
    4. Go into the menu to select "Disk Utility"
    5. In the dialog of Disk Utility, which just opened, select the tab "SOS"
    6. In the left window, select the hard disk boot Mac
    7. In the lower right, click "Repair Disk"
    8. Wait for end of work
    9. If at the end of the process, the message indicates that repairs have been made, restart the process if the message is that the hard drive has passed the audit and that the hard disk appears in good condition, without indicating that repairs have been made, then you go to the menu bar and choose to restart the Mac
    10. Restart and repair as necessary until the message indicates that the drive has passed the audit and he seems in good condition without any indication that repairs have been made.
    11. Once the Mac has restarted normally hard disk, open again the Disk Utility located in Applications / Utilities and run a repair disk permissions.

If the both solutions , doesn't work then, either reinstall the system following an Archive and Install, so as to retain all its settings, different settings, and especially preserving its files. Or use a software that can rebuild the Directory of the hard disk. The most effective in this situation seems to be DiskWarrior and it is a commercial software relatively expensive but effective and I use it from time to time in preventive and often gives it more responsive system.
