When I try to activate Windows 7 error 0x8004FE33 comes

Hi Friends,I have a hp laptop with vista running on it When I try to activate my installation of Windows 7 I'm getting error 0x8004FE33 message .I Don't know what this error message related with. I have internet connection via proxy server. So If any one have the idea or solution about it then give me reply.

hi ,As regarding to your query , Before installing windows 7 make sure that your Internet connection is working properly.If you are using proxy server make sure that you properly entered username and password.


If you are still getting a problem then follow these steps:

1.Click on the Start button and then go to Help and Support.
2.After help and support window open, in the Search Help box , type network and Internet connection problems, and then click Search Help.
3. Look at the list provided by system, click on Troubleshoot network and Internet connection problems.
4. after clicking Troubleshoot network and Internet connection problemsyou are provided with many other links, Click the link that best describes the problem that you are experiencing.
5. Follow the suggestions given by the system to troubleshoot the problem that you are experiencing.

I know that why this error is coming it may be due to wrong product key you can try out following solution to fixed the problem.
Click on start button then click on "run " button and type "cmd", then command prompt window will open then type "slmgr.vbs /ipk (type your Win7 product key properly )",and press enter
then type "slmgr.vbs /ato",and press enter
After these steps,your Windows operating system should be activated.

Activation fails with error code 0x8004FE33.
The above error is appear if you are using proxy server and you not authenticate it properly.There two method to overcome this problem

1o not use Basic authentication on the proxy server. it means that when you are provided with proxy server internet service you are given user id and password.use that id and password for authenticate

2: Use the telephone to activate Windows
If you cannot use proxy server method click Use the automated phone system in the Windows Activation Wizard to activate Windows over the telephone.
