Change display resolution in ubuntu 9.04

Hello friends, I am new to linux and have Ubuntu 9.04 installed on my computer. How can i Change display resolution in ubuntu 9.04? Can anyone help me with this? I hope i get help soon. I'm tired of seeing the big desktop... Thanks in advance...

I dont know about ubuntu 9.04, but in ubuntu 8.04 it was pretty simple, Right-click on the desktop and click on change display resolution. Then a new windows would appear, There change the resoultion then click apply, then confirm that by clickin on apply, then click close... Hope it is some similar way...

In the right-click menu i can only find change desktop wallpaper, nothing related to display settings or display resolution, please help...

Ok, from the Menu on the top go to System > Preferences > Display, From there change the display resolution and if necessary change the frequency. Changing frequency is important, the more the display resolution the lesser must be the frequency... Hope this helps... All the best...
