Resolution under ubuntu

Hi,

I installed a xp sp2 + a vista under buntu and 8.04, all this going on except that nickel under ubuntu I have no resolution than + 800x600! is this normal or not? thank you for your advice.

What is as graphics card?

you have to go into System / Administration / drivers, install the driver and owner of the graphics card

It happened to me also in case the choice of the screen is the default screen resolution is limited.
