    Shortcut to disconnect the USB drive safely in Vista

    Hello , Friends i have windows vista, i want to create a shortcut to remove the Usb Drive safely in my windows vista computer , can you tell me how can i create the shorcut to remove the drives safely , please help me thanks in advance

    Yiou Might want to try the USB Safely Remove Which is a USB device manager. It saves time and extends user abilities on active work with flash drives, portable drives, card readers and other gadgets.

    Before you unplug your USB drive, you must be sure to write all the data you've copied over is completed. To safely remove your USB key, you can add a shortcut on your desktop allowing you to complete all transfers properly with the key. I have Forgotten the Method so I Will soon post it '

    Click the right button mouse on a blank area of the desktop.

    Choose the New command, shortcut menu that appears.

    In the Enter the location of the item, enter the following command: Rundll32 shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll.

    Click the Next button.

    Name the shortcut and Disconnect USB key for example and then click Finish.

    Click the right mouse button on the newly created shortcut and click Properties.

    Click the Change Icon button.

    Click the Browse button.

    Select the Shell32.dll file and click Open.

    Select a new icon to show the shortcut and then double-click the OK button.

    Before you unplug your USB drive, double click the shortcut Disconnect USB key that is on the desktop.

    Select your USB stick in the window that appears and then click Stop. Click OK.

    You can then remove your USB drive safely to your data.
