The iFrame Video format is designed by Apple to speed up importing and editing by keeping the content in its native recorded format while editing. Based on industry standard technologies such as H.264 and AAC audio, iFrame produces small file sizes and simplifies the process of working with Video recorded with your camera. like recently updated cameras are SANYO Dual Cameras VPC-FH1A and VPC-HD2000A with iFrame Video Format
The iFrame is managed by two new camcorder Sanyo. It is the default format of this duo is also capable of recording in 1080p. Sanyo is the only one to use this iFrame as shown in list camcorder compatible with iMovie updated yesterday. The iFrame is designated in the interface of these camcorders with a star icon in the spirit of that of the iMovie icon. Precisely one of the advantages put forward for the video format that it is taken directly from iMovie without any need to convert.
The big question is what Apple had in mind for this iFrame out suddenly and having partnered with a manufacturer of equipment. This is not the first time it moves pawns on the chessboard of the video for example with the codec Pixlet But here the focus is rather grand public. Presumably, the iFrame is the first part of a new puzzle ..so for now it cannot be operated on windows
