    Windows XP doesn't recognise any hard disks

    Windows XP doesn't recognise any hard disks. I have been facing this issue since a week now and every hard disk i have [3 disks] fails on my computer. I have a computer with Asus KV8-MX motherboard with AMD Athlon processor. Now i don't know what to do. Please help... I need to start the computer as all my work is pending... and booting from windows xp cd says no hard disk detected.

    Reboot your computer and go into BIOS setup utility. Now in bios go to advance option. There can you see your hard disks? Check all the three disks. If you can see it in bios then you have to install its driver in Windows XP by pressing F6 while it asks for third party drivers. You can download the drivers from the manufacturer's website. I hope this helps...

    Hey, thanks for the reply. I did this before, but none of my hard disks are detected in BIOS only my usb flash disk is detected. What may be the problem? Also this happened suddenly and i don't know why all the three hard disk failed at the same time!? Please suggest me a way to get those disks working...

    You can try this out : Connect your hard disks one by one, see if those are detected, Change the data cable and see if any disks are detected. If nothing help, try to connect the disk one by one to some other machine. If there the disks are detected, try connecting them together. If there is no problem on the other machine, your motherboard is at fault...
