Install Mac OS X first. Make two partition of drive. Install Mac OS X as usual, after installing mac os x you need to boot the Ubuntu installation CD. Select the free space to manually partition disk. When you select menu it will allow you to select automatically partition the free space. This will create an Apple bootstrap, swap, and root partition for you automatically. Complete Ubuntu installation as prompted.
You'll need three items for running ubuntu on mac an Intel-based Mac, the Ubuntu OS and the latest Parallels build. Mac OSX does not recognise ext3 format by default and it is not able to read/write to your Ubuntu partition. To access Ubuntu partition from Mac OSX, install Mac OS X Ext2 Filesystem.
You need to get Ubuntu Live CD and then Create a partition for Mac OSX. Install Mac OSX and then First Login to Mac OSX, Configure the boot option, Access Ubuntu partition from Mac OSX and Access Mac partition from Ubuntu.
