setupdd.sys error code is 4

Hi,

I am trying to install Windows XP SP 2 as my Operating system but whenever i am trying to install it's not letting me to load the operating system and it always gets freeze at kerrnll debugg and at the same time i get an error message as file setupdd.sys could not be loaded the error code is 4. I have try to find the solution over internet but was not able to get it can anyone help me please ?

Normally you get this message when there is some hardware issue or the drivers some if the drivers are being corrupted in that case i try to go into safe mode and uninstall and reinstall the drivers hope this would solve your problem because i was also facing such kind of issue and i try to do that it worked for me hope it works for you too.

I have try to reinstall all the drivers but still was getting setupdd.sys error code 4 message is there any other alternative method to solve this message, i have also try to format and reinstall my windows but still facing same issue

It might happen PCI Card are facing this issue because of which you are getting this message i would recommend you to remove all your PCI cards now restart your computer and have a check for the same are you still getting the same error message if yes then remove one or more of the memory modules that are installed in your computer and have a check for the same. Hope now you won't get any message because if there is RAM issue then you can get this message.
