How to delete history on mac

Does any one know how to delete history on mac? I use Internet Explorer, safari for browsing. The option to delete internet history in internet explorer in mac is same for windows?

To delete history on mac (internet history) ,Open the Safari browser > Click on the "History" tab located at the top of you screen > Click on the "Clear History" option Or Choose Preferences from the Edit menu. Click the Advanced category. Click the Clear History button. You can also set the History "remembered" number to zero (before you start surfing) in this window.
