I Have Got Laptop Today
Toshiba Satellite 4080xcdt
It Has A Password On Start Up
I Try To Remove Thermos But Steel Is The Pas
Please How To Remove This

I think is not new coz is a Pentium II Microsoft windows NT ,98
Maybe need bios update diskette but i don't have this

You need to create a floppy to bios the toshiba laptop's bios password. Download the attachment. Extract the file keydisk from the archive. Now insert a blank floppy in the floppy drive and run keydisk from dos. Now boot from the floppy. Also this won't work with old laptops, in this case you will need to make ur own password bypass dongle. Use a parallel port connector and short the following pins :
1-5-10
2-11
3-17
4-12
6-16
7-13
8-14
9-15

Attach it to the parallel port and power on the laptop...

hi i need some help resetting a bios password for a friend i have who got a dell inspiron from another guy and they didnt get the bios password. the service tag is 4wzh1g1 and express service code is 10701628561. how do i go about resetting/removing it? i dont mind if i have to get dirty with it.

Have you tried clearing the cmos battery because that will reset the password that is set on your machine for the bios. If that doesnt work then post your dell's service tag and express service code in this thread - http://forums.techarena.in/portable-devices/1420508.htm and some guys should be able to help you with the password.
