    Linux NAS on Home PC

    I have 3 computers at home and i was wondering if i can dedicate on computer as a NAS? Is it possible? I am not used to linux that much. So can anyone guise me how to do it? Thanks for your replies in advance...

    What do you mean by dedicating a computer as NAS? Do you want to use your computer as a server? NAS is Network Attached Storage. That is a simple collection of many computers which has a lot of storage with a minimum software. What exactly you want to do? You want to create a NAS or FTP?

    I would suggest you setup a FTP server. Its a better option and simple to configure... Linux has all the components in the install dvd which are required to setup a ftp server. Also it is less complex to set...
