    init: id "x" respawning too fast error

    When i try to boot in runlevel 5 i get init: id "x" respawning too fast error. How do i stop it? Please help, i am newbie in linux... Thanks!

    Does this work? : Manually stop xfs and restart it. Did you add xfs to run level 5 or it was there by default? Well this has worked for a lot of people and personally i did resolve it this way. I never found a permanent automatic fix. So this is how i did it all the time. All the best...

    Yes i added xfs to run level 5 by default it was not present there by default. I can do it manually, but i need a permanent fix. Anyone else has any suggestion? Thanks...

    Try to run the combination of the following scripts :
    Code:
    sh -x -v /etc/X11/prefdm -nodaemon
    startx - -logverbose 7 -verbose 7
    Does it help? If it doesn't pos back...
