msimn.exe crashes: 0xc00000008

I am facing some issue with my computer whenever i am trying to use Outlook express 6 i a, getting an error message as

msimn.exe: The exception unknown software exception (0x00000008) occurred in the application at location 0x7c964ed1.

Early i was not able to get such kinds of message whenever i try to start my Outlook Express i am facing this issue from few days and i am using Windows XP service pack 2. Any ideas how to make this stop?

Most of the time your outlook express get crashes because of one or more of OE's *.dbx files being damaged, or being marked as Read-only. So begin trouble-shooting by verifying none are marked as Read-only. For that you need to close Outlook Express and open the store folder in Windows Explorer. Select all files by going into Edit| Select All, or CTRL-A, then right-click on any selected file and select Properties. Clear the checkbox for the Read-only attribute.

I have try to do that too but sill facing same issue can anyone provide me any other solution where i won't get error message as msimn.exe crashes: 0xc00000008. i have also tried to ask my friends about the error message but they also don't have any ideas.

In this case i would recommend you to reinstall Outlook Express and configure each and everything back again because it might happen that some of the files would corrupted or deleted because of which you are getting error code. Instead of using Outlook Express i would recommend you to use Outlook 2007 because it have many new features and it is some what easy to use.
