Mwsbar.dll is a program related to MyWebSearch and it is part of the software that includes programs such as cursor mania, smiley central, a website portal, etc. This message occurs when a "run key" still exists in the registry for an item that has been removed from your machine. In this case, you would just "fix" it with HJT to remove the key from the registry.

mwsbar.dll is what is known as a "browser helper object" and is something that's installed into Internet Explorer by the ‘My Web Search’ toolbar. Go to Start > Search > All Files or Folders. In the "All or part of the the file name" section, type in "mwsbar.dll" file name, To get better results, select "Look in: Local Hard Drives" or "Look in: My Computer" and then click "Search" button if didn't show anything then go to Control Panel >Add & Remove Programs >Look for MyWebSearch and uninstall it.

If Windows is unable to run applications due to a mwsbar.dll error, this .dll may be missing or you may have registry error. Reinstall mwsbar.dll related application that is reporting the error. This will usually replace any missing components as well as put right any registry entries that might be contributing to the error.

    Download mwsbar.dll
