I am getting "Out of Memory" error when i arrange images in thumbnail format. I have set swap file correctly in Windows XP. System shows Paging File Space = 628.46 MB. Is that Virtual Memory problem?

Windows allocates resources according to its settings and manages devices and programs accordingly. However, you can use the System item in Control Panel to change these performance options and how Windows manages them.
check this Microsoft guide : How to set performance options in Windows XP
Location for virtual memory is the total hard drive space available for a page file. Click Change in Performance Section under Control Panel to make settings for the Virtual memory operation. You can have 2 gigs of virtual memory but only a small area currently being used. this is called the swap file.
Use the MaxFileCache setting in the System.ini file to reduce the maximum amount of memory that Vcache uses to 512 megabytes (524,288 KB) or less. Vcache is limited internally to a maximum cache size of 800 MB.This problem may occur more readily with Advanced Graphics Port (AGP) video adapters because the AGP aperture is also mapped to addresses in the system arena.
