You need to download the system scanning software which will search your whole computer or the selected drive which you want to clean from the malware or other viruses, there are lots of software available for this on the internet. Once you have downloaded you need to follow the installation steps, it will be much more recommended to have the log generated software as well, which also follows the same procedure for installation.
Once it has finished installation of log generated software, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized) this will helps you to understand what was the problem.

I will suggest you to go for ComboFix to download the comboFix you may visit to the following ComboFix.

    Download ComboFix

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

You may also get some more information on the Windows XP Recovery Console from here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058.

Once you install the Recovery Console, you need to reboot your computer, you'll see the option for the Recovery Console now as well. Don't select Recovery Console as we don't need it. By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal. If you still have problem then post your log here.
