How to force to reinstall Vista SP1

I am already using Vista SP1 operating system on my computer. What i need is to reinstall Vista SP1 on the same computer.I don't want to zap the computer and start over again. But whenever i try to do that, windows says SP1 is already installed on the computer. Is there any way i can force Windows Vista SP1 to reinstall ? Thanks in advance.

Well, to force Vista SP1 to reinstall on the same PC, go through this steps:-

    1. First of all perform a clean installation of the released version of Windows Vista and install all Windows Vista critical and important updates.

    2. Now before the Windows Vista SP1 update, make sure your device and driver functioning properly including making changes to the default device configuration.

    3. Now run the following commands at an elevated command prompt to configure your PC to download Windows Vista SP1 over Windows Update:

    . reg delete
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersionWindowsUpdate
    VistaSp1 /f > NUL 2>&1

If your windows says that SP1 is already installed on your computer, than try this:-

    • Go to Start and search Windows Update.
    • Open Windows Update and go to "See Also link and click on Installed Updates Find "Service Pack for Microsoft Windows KB936330" and click it
    • Now click on Uninstall at the top.
    • Restart the pc and let it uninstall
    • Once it has uninstalled download the standalone installer or install it from Windows Update. You are done.
