Installation Problem Win7 RC form USB hard drive

I have a small problem that to install windows 7 I have done exactly as said on the forum here regarding Install Windows 7 from USB to install the new Windows 7 RC on an external storage device via USB.

My problem is when I booted up via USB hard drive (seagate 250GB) and selecting disk and partition gives me error massage that says that I can not install Windows 7 on a hard drive connected to the PC via either USB or firewire.

what is the problem what should i do ? Thank you in advance .

i did this successfully on second attempt try this Click open the Start Menu, and go to “Disk Management” tool. select USB hard drive for me that was 300GB. by Right click on the volume select Shrink volume. ans Shrink volume by 10000MB. now Right click on the new unallocated volume, select format as FAT32 and Check Perform quick format by Right click on it select Mark Partition as Active to make it active it is important.now Mount the Windows 7 ISO from the USB (\Windows7\ISO\6801.0.080913-2030_Client_en-us_ULTIMATE-ULTIMATE_GB1CFRE_EN_DVD.iso) using ISO tool like Daemon Tools. Copy the entire DVD directory into volume. Now boot PC from USB. The Windows 7 setup should appear.

That is pretty much the same thing but except that I think you have to look the disk into multiple partition that you have selected as NTFS file system or FAT32? it does matter which file system you choose...

check for hard drive volume that working fine or had problem as disk problem can be cause for failure ..
