How Do i add windows entry in Grub?

Hey guys!
I have been using windows for a long time and always have been fascinated about using Linux. So i downloaded and installed Ubuntu 8.10. Now i've screwed up windows. I have not formated windows partition and can still see the windows files in its partition. The problem is it does not show me the boot option in grub for windows. How do i fix it...!? Please help...!

Hey there!
Use a boot editor software... like BCD Edit for windows... i'm not aware of any linux boot editior... I guess Grub Editor is already present in the ubuntu instalation...!

Try to do this :
Add the windows entry in the following file :
/boot/grub/menu.lst
This is the boot menu for grub...! All the best!

Thanks a lot i can see the boot entries there... But the problem is after editing it i can't save it... it tells me i need root rights to do that... how do i dont that... Help me...!

Hey again...!
Ok try this :
Open terminal and type the following command :

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

now make changes as desired and then save. this will work...!
