question Is slipstreaming SP3 & .NET3.5... possible on OEM partition

I use an Acer Aspire One, which comes with Windows XP, drivers and some other packages bundled in an OEM partition. Works perfect. Only - I have a habit of downloading freeware to try out.

Whenever Netbook health goes bad, I do an e-recovery to attain the original state of the Netbook. Trouble is that I have to install SP3, .NET and all other updates again and this is quite bugging.

Is there a way to slipstream this windows and .NET update into the original OEM EISA partition? Alternatively, is there a way to automate the task - that whenever the e-recovery is run, these updates are also installed simultaneously?

Tried googling everywhere - to no avail. Please help.

    Hey!
Nope... Till now, nobody has come up with this successfully, either it will return some error or nothing, but it just don't work... But you can try this out if you still wanna try.. may be it could work, you never know... MS is very unpredictable...
    Try this code:
    Code:
    start /wait dotnetfx35.exe /q:a /c:"setup.exe /q /norestart" /norestart

Thanks Solomon. I had guessed so. Days of googling yielded no result - in spite of my experience at googling.

But is there a way to prepare my own customised setup from the installed and updated Windows on my PC? BartPC / nLite asks for the original installation CD - I only have the OEM partition, where there are images. Or is there something I am missing here??

    anyone??
