Internet Explorer 7 is always a crap browser, however IE6 used to be the finest of all time. What you can do is download any alternative browsers like Firefox, Google chrome or Opera to find out whether its the browser problem or internet problem.

    Some suggestions here --
    • Get into the BIOS and see if the time is set correct, This is one of the causes the other cause is check for virus.

    • Try this go to Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Advanced and put a tick in Automatically check for Internet Explorer Updates.

    • Do you have a firewall on the PC - that may be blocking IE7 from accessing the internet.

i have come across something very interesting everyone might want to know about IE7 and sp3. apparantly if you had ie7 before the upgrade to sp3 you can not remove ie7 without first having uninstalled sp3 here is more information..........http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/200...and-xpsp3.aspx

i will now go and uninstall sp3, however i would like to know, how i would be able to choose my own ie version i want if i remove ie7 from my computer then i wouldnt be able to access the internet right?

i have removed sp3 in the add/remove programs it still says IE7 is there. when i open IE and click on about ie it says i have version6.
and all the updates for ie7 and the other windows updates are still there. i thought when you removed sp3 that the updates disappeared as well....

As you hve mention that your internet explorer is not working fine , though you have internet connection ,
Firstly assume that there is no issue with your isp , so only thing left is , internet explorer 7 , first solution is that you can uninstall and reinstall the internet explorer 7 and and use internet explorer 6

if the issue still remain there you can go ahead and download and install the mozilla firefox .
I hope that this solution will resolve form issue .
