    Windows 7 Sleep Problems

    hi,
    i have Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz 1333MHz
    Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3
    Graphics card: SAPPHIRE HD 4850
    Hard Drives: Samsung S-Ata, 2x 160GB, Samsung 1x 500GB
    CD-Rom: LG 52x
    S-ata DVD-Rom: LG 16x
    S-ATA DVD burner: SH-223f
Samsung S-Ata, 2x 160GB, Samsung 1x 500GB,installed windows 7,the problem is screen saver to go on at 8 minutes and that does not work. I have the powersaving mode set for the screen to go blank at 15 minutes and the machine to sleep at 30 minutes. That doesn't work either.Has anyone else had problems with that or found any way to work around that?

Device Manager, Nework Adapter, Properties, Power Management, Uncheck "Allow this device to wake up..."Though it is quite obvious, it took me almost two weeks to get there after playing with settings in the power plan, and disabling mouse/keyboard ability to wake up the pc from sleep.

    hi,
Sleep to Hibernate is actually a feature, not a bug. The default is that sleep goes to hibernate after 320 min of sleep on a laptop. So I doubled the sleep time and she sleeps through the night. it's in advanced setting power management.

    Re: Windows 7 Sleep Problems

My Solution to this problem is to give up on sleep and hibernate all together. Especially in a Beta operating system. I have many times in the past in XP and VISTA lost info because of sleep and hibernate not waking. I never recommend this feature to people. Either just leave your computer on or use a third party program to sleep and hibernate.
