    Context Menu slow to open

When right clicking on files, and opening them, there typically is a delay of about 30 seconds. This doesn't happen with folders or executables. This is a common problem but I didn't find the answer anywhere.
    Anyone have idea ?

    Thanks

Re: Context Menu slow to open

If your context menu (the menu appearing when you right click) is slow to appear (open) then you need to change the MenuShowDelay setting.
In RegEdit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop and fine the MenuShowDelay value. If it does not exist create a new string value and name it MenuShowDelay. The default setting is "400" lower it, or try setting it to "200".
