    Error PFN_LIST_Corrupt with Blue Screen

    Hi,

    When booting my PC I get more and more a blues screen. The last message shows this error "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT". Sometimes, however, comes not only stop Accurate reporting and zeros. -Off has on the Windows blue screen complaining about AVGNTDD.SYS but such file does not exist. In addition, a hum in the speakers when the problem occurs (not always)

    Have no new programs installed and no new component. Have no tuning or the like made in the AL.

    My system:
    Athlon 1400
    EPoX 8KHA +
    512 DDRAM
    GeForce4 MX 440
    FP one with 2 partitions, network card, CD burner, Sound Blaster PCI 128

    Any ideas?

    How to troubleshoot the error message «STOP 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT»

    In Windows 2000 the following error message appears.
    STOP 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

    Parameter1 - the value «1».
    Parameter2 - damaged the value ListHead.
    Parameter3 - the number of available pages.
    4 - 0

    Parameter1 - the value of «2».
    Parameter2 - removes the element list.
    Parameter3 - the largest number of pages of physical memory.
    Parameter4 - the link to the deleted value.

    Reason
    This error occurs because of damage to structures of input-output driver.

    To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
    1. Run the diagnostic equipment, provided by the computer manufacturer.
    2. Disable all file system filter drivers (such as backup, antivirus and software firewalls).
    3. Check whether the equipment used by the drivers and a computer running Windows 2000. To do this, visit the Microsoft Web site at:

    For information about your computer hardware, contact your computer manufacturer.
    4. If this error message appears at random or when you run a program, remove extra computer memory modules, or test the installed RAM. This error could occur because of damaged RAM.

    It occurs due to :

    1) Incompatible drivers.
    What it is, could you possibly find out if you have the entire text of such a message post.

    2) RAM.
    If you receive this error message randomly, or when you try to start a program, remove extra memory or have the random access memory (RAM) in your computer tested. This behavior may occur if you have bad RAM.
