    Complete PC Restore Internal error

    Hi friends,

    I have recently bought a new PC and I have install Windows Vista on it.But whenever i try to make a Complete PC Restore i am getting an Internal Error messsage can anyone help me out with this issue it would be great for me.

    I am getting the following error message during PC restore.


    Error message : A data disk is currently set as active in BIOS. Set some
    other disk as active or use the DiskPart utility to clean the data disk, and
    then retry the restore operation. (0x80042406)

    Try to have a Copy of the PC Restore in the Pen Drive and format all the Partition and than try to restore hope it will work for you.

    I try to do the things which you told but it didn't worked out fro me any other solution.

    I was also facing such kind of issue i tried to use the clean command from Diskpart and it worked for me.I am sure it will work for you also.Try it out

    Amelia is absolutely correct, quick and easy fix.
    Here's a tutorial on how to do it.
    You can get to a command prompt with the recovery disc.
