Ubuntu 7.10 on iMac does not boot!

Hi,
I would like to see Ubuntu 7.10 on my iMac G3 500Mhz, 20 GB HDD and 192 MB of Ram installed. I have Ubuntu on the official page to download and burn to a CD. If I have the CD in the CD Rom drive and C lege press nothing happens. The CD is bootable because they are also my Windows computer boots. Can you help me?
